Academic Review Day 17th December 2024

Our Academic Review Day will take place on Tuesday 17th December 2024

Academic Review Days are collapsed timetable days where students, with their parents/carers, are invited to book an appointment with their Head of House/Tutor to have a 20-minute, focused discussion about their progress and achievements. The meeting will take place at the time booked through an appointment system.

During this process, a tutor will guide the student to reflect on their current academic performance and pastoral profile to celebrate successes so far this year and establish specific targets for improvement over the course of this academic year.

At the meeting we will:

Explore the current working levels and compare these to target levels.

Review progress towards current targets set and how to achieve or exceed them.

Explore any other issues arising e.g., attendance, punctuality, behaviour, dress code.

Set action points to help them reach or exceed their targets.

This is a very important occasion, and if you are unable to attend, your child must attend. A copy of the review will be posted home, and the outcome of the review will be shared with you. It is very important that you arrive on time and that your child is in full Academy/Sixth Form dress code.

Please note, students will not be in school on this day other than to attend the appointment. They will be given work to complete at home. If your child does not attend their appointment, it will be recorded as an unauthorised absence from school.

Harris Professional Skills Sixth Form with Aspire recognises the significant impact that parents and carers have upon the successes of their children and welcome your support in this process.
